The PRC Vocational Testing Center, Inc. specializes in career and vocational aptitude testing to help individuals determine what kind of work, jobs or training they are best suited for based on their interests, aptitudes, abilities and skills. Through our assessments you can discover your special talents, your personality type and your true nature as it relates to the world of work. There are a number of companies who represent themselves as providing this kind of service. In order for you to make a better decision regarding which company you may elect to use, the following information is provided for your consideration.

Most companies offer a single set battery of vocational tests at a single fee (usually quite high). Our company has over three hundred different vocational, personality, interest and aptitude tests and systems from which to choose. One area of our expertise is to maintain a large and current inventory and awareness regarding what new tests and systems are available on the market. Rather than providing a single set battery of tests we provide a "prescription" of tests meeting and matching your own specific and personal needs, situation and circumstances. Each of us is so unique; we have found it far more beneficial and useful to our clients to design a personalized battery, rather than a "one size fits all" approach. It takes a little more time, but we feel it is worth it.

If you compare our services further you will find that our initial consultation is free. During that time you will have an opportunity to meet with Dr. Bartlow and express your concerns regarding what you are looking for in terms of career information, vocational testing and career guidance. There is no fee or obligation for that introduction of services.

If you elect to initiate vocational testing, a comprehensive and full scale battery of vocational and aptitude tests could include intelligence testing, problem solving, abstract reasoning, academic achievement testing (reading, writing, spelling, arithmetic), a full range of aptitude tests (verbal, numerical perception, spatial, memory, clerical, fine finger dexterity, gross motor/manual dexterity, mechanical, scientific and etc.), temperaments assessments, several interest tests, work values and motivations testing as well as personality and psychological testing. Other companies only offer a few of these systems. We also have a state-of-the art computer matching system that incorporates a database of over 12,000 different jobs with their special characteristics. A computer matching evaluation allows you to personally select special characteristics you want in a job; and then the computer program finds occupations matching your unique profile. We have been able to incorporate and include the entire battery for an extraordinarily low fee of $350.00!!

However, many people do not need or require a full battery of tests. That is why our unique "prescription" concept is so important. By designing a specific battery of tests for you personally, we can keep our fees down and provide you with a quality and reasonably comprehensive battery at less than our full charge. The costs for specific tests are dependent on which instruments are used. However you would rarely find your battery costing more than $350.00. The average and typical cost for some aptitude, interest and personality tests runs approximately $150.00. We do require full payment when test results are discussed with you.

After visiting with us and if you elect to take the important step with a career evaluation you would be provided a battery of "take home" tests (temperament, interests, motivations and personality) and return them to us within a week to ten days for us to score and assimilate the data. If you desire to receive the red carpet full battery of tests we may schedule you for the timed and power aptitude tests at our office. A follow-up interview is always included in the costs quoted. Testing at the PRC Vocational Testing Center lasts from one to three hours. If you elect not to do aptitude testing, all other testing can be done by mail.
